Attribution and release status

Thirukkural is an ancient Tamil literary work attributed to Thiruvalluvar. The dataset includes later translations, transliterations and commentary, which have separate provenance.

Dataset

The bundled JSON names tk120404/thirukkural as its source. That upstream currently declares Apache-2.0. The earlier blanket CC0 claim for all data has been withdrawn. Exact translation contributors and downstream rights still require verification before public release.

Code and glosses

KuralAI code is MIT-licensed. The repository labels its curated glosses CC-BY-SA-4.0; contributor attribution remains to be completed.

Artwork

The heritage photos were supplied with Wikimedia Commons license labels, but their exact source pages and creators are missing. The Thiruvalluvar artwork also needs provenance confirmation. Public launch is blocked until these records are completed or the assets are replaced.
